THE NEW YORK LATINO FILM FESTIVAL, PRESENTED BY HBO, ANNOUNCES FESTIVAL WINNERS FOR FILM AND THE FUTURO WEBSERIES

(NEW YORK, NY) – The New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), celebrated the Latino film industry and content creators with the first-ever drive-in/in-person experiences and virtual programming from September 14 to 20, 2020. NYLFF opened its 21st edition with Habla Now, the fifteenth installment of HBO Latino’s award-winning Habla documentary series by director and series creator, Alberto Ferreras. Hundreds of moviegoers supported more than 75 films from established and emerging filmmakers, with more than 10 countries represented. A variety of genres and formats were presented, including features, shorts, documentaries, web series and experimental films. Winners were announced at the conclusion of the Festival on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in the categories of U.S. Narrative, International Feature, Futuro web series, Documentary, U.S. Feature, Short Film, and Honorable Mention.
